Exercise #3
A programming language is a man-made language that may be used to control the behavior of a machine, most notably a computer. The structure and meaning of programming languages, like human languages, are determined by syntactic and semantic rules.
Programming languages are used to communicate the work of organizing and manipulating data, as well as to precisely define algorithms. Some authors confine the word "programming language" to languages that can express all possible algorithms; the term "computer language" is sometimes used for artificial languages with fewer capabilities.
